Dear Shandon Friends,

We are grateful for God’s work through Shandon UMC in our community and beyond. The Holy Spirit is actively present as we worship, pray, teach, and serve. As we approach the new year, we ask you to prayerfully consider your contributions of time, talent, and treasure to support God’s kingdom through Shandon UMC. Our aim is not merely to cover church expenses but to be a conduit for God’s healing, hope, and joy in our community and the world.

The Bible encourages a tithe, which is 10% of your income, as a standard for faithful giving (Malachi 3:10). We invite you to tithe or make progress towards it in 2024 to help Shandon UMC be a blessing to others.

On October 22nd, we will have Consecration Sunday, where we pledge our gifts to God’s ministry in our church. Please bring the enclosed Commitment Card to worship or submit it online by October 22 if you can’t attend. Your generosity sustains Shandon UMC’s vital ministries.
