What You Need to Know
Shandon places a strong emphasis on fostering children in Christian faith. Children are always welcome and encouraged to worship with their families at all of our worship services. We recognize the developmental needs of children vary. Age-level nurseries are provided during all Sunday morning worship services for infants-age 3, and children’s Bibles, crayons, and activity books are available at entrances to worship spaces to assist parents in engaging children during worship.
We also have a special children’s time during worship services. Children ages 3 and older are invited up front for an age-appropriate Children’s Message. Following the Children’s Message, children may return to their seats and worship with their families.
Holy Communion, or the Lord’s Supper, is celebrated the first Sunday of each month in all three of our worship services and is celebrated in the home upon request. Everyone is invited to the Lord’s Table to affirm Christ’s life, death and resurrection, to reenact them in our lives.
Wheelchair access is available at each service. Wheelchair access to the Sanctuary is located at the Sanctuary east entrance near the parking lot. All entrances to the Dunn-Smith Center are wheelchair accessible, and all campus buildings are wheelchair accessible through the covered center walkways that connect the four buildings.
